Dutch for beginners in primary education – after-school

LanguageOne Perth’s Dutch for beginners programme is suitable for children aged 6 to 9 who speak almost no Dutch and need to learn it as a new language. The Dutch Language and Culture programme your children will follow is geared towards learning Dutch as a foreign language.

The programme emphasises the communicative skills of speaking and listening. We work on assignments around daily tasks and activities that children in the Netherlands or Belgium might be doing. This increases your children’s vocabulary and language skills.

After day school our students take 1 to 1,5 hours of Dutch class per week at the International School of Western Australia (ISWA), taught by qualified teachers with experience in the Dutch education system and/or Dutch education abroad. The classes are richly varied in content. We use various didactic methods to enhance motivation and the pleasure the children take in learning.
